Bharatiya Bidya Niketan Gurukul


Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA that will engage third to eighth-grade students of the Bharatiya Bidya Niketan Gurukul, in Kalimela, Malkangiri district, Odisha. This 15-month project titled Children's Art Museum: Celebrating Tribal Art through Young Creators offers a unique way for children to connect with and appreciate indigenous cultures of Koya, Paroja and Gadabas tribal communities. This project aims to establish a community art museum within the school campus. The outcome of the project will be a museum, and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA along with the final report are copies of the publication, photographs and the video documentation of the entire project. Project funds will pay for workshop, performance, exhibition, documentation and contract fees. 

Maruti Shiksha Avam Samaj Kalyan Samiti


Project Period: One year three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA that will engage fourth to eighth grade students of the Patel Motilal Thakur Memorial School (PMTM), run by Maruti Shiksha Avam Samaj Kalyan Samiti, in Hatpipliya, Ratlam district. This 15-month project titled Malv Mati Gahan Gambhir Dag-Dag Roti Pag-Pag Nir reflects the deep cultural heritage and self-sustaining nature of the Malwa region, where tradition, knowledge, and resources are deeply ingrained in everyday life. The project aims to draw from this rich cultural foundation to innovate in classroom teaching by integrating the Malvi language, traditional art, and community knowledge. The outcome of the project will be a series of performances, exhibitions and a multilingual dictionary (Malvi-Hindi-English). The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will be a copy of the publication, photographs, and video documentation of the entire project. Project funds will pay for workshop, publication, travel and living, contract fees, documentation, stationary and materials and communication. 

Ghasiara Vidyapith (HS)


Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA that will engage seventh to 10th grade students of the Ghasiara Vidyapith (HS), in Sonarpur, South 24 Parganas district. In this 15-month project titled The Infinite Sky Beyond Books, the school hopes to demystify difficult subjects and enhance the educational process by integrating art forms like music, multimedia, theater, dance, puppetry, painting, and sculpture into the curriculum. In addition, the school wants to make educational experiences enjoyable through promoting individual creativity. The outcome of the project will be a series of performances, exhibitions and in-house discussions. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will be photographs, and video documentation of the entire project. Project funds will pay for contract fees, materials, hire of equipment, travel and living, performance, workshop, stationary and documentation. 

Lalsab Nadaf


Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage seventh grade students of Government Model Kannada Primary School, Maalamaddi, Dharwad district with a project exploring the art of cattle rearing and buffalo milk distribution practised by the Gauli community in and around Dharwad district, along with the exploration of the popular sweet – Dharwad Peda. Students will understand the history and geographical spread of this community, and engage with the role of the buffalo connecting it to their curriculum in social science, science, and language. The outcome of this project will be a performance in the school premise and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will include a copy of the publication, still and video documentation of the process and the performance. Project funds will pay for contract fees, performance, travel and living, materials, workshop, documentation, and printing.

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage seventh grade students of Vinobhabave Government Higher Primary School in Chittavadagi, Hospet taluk, Vijayanagara district with the project titled Naisargika Layadalli Hindustani Sangeetada Mukhakuhi, connecting the rhythmic patterns of nature with Hindustani music. Students will be engaged in a series of listening activities to capture and observe various sound patterns in nature in relation to Hindustani musical rhythms. These sound explorations will be linked to their curriculum in environmental science and languages. The outcome of this project will be a performance and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will include a copy of the publication, still and video documentation of the process and the performance. Project funds will pay for contract fees, travel and living, performance, printing, documentation, food, hire of equipment, and materials.

Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage sixth grade students of Government Model Higher Primary School in Tadasa, Shiggaon taluk, Haveri district with the project titled Korama Samudaya Eduve Kalegala Samudaya. Students will explore the art and culture of the Korama tribal community connecting it to their curriculum in environmental science and languages. Students will engage with the craft practices of the community and train in the Koravanji folk art form. The outcome of this project will be a performance, exhibition and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will include a copy of the publication, still and video documentation of the process, exhibition and the performance. Project funds will pay for contract fees, performance, travel and living, documentation, materials, printing, and workshop.

Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage sixth grade students of Government Higher Primary School in Chikka Hunasur, Hunasur taluk, Mysore district with the folk stories and songs of folk hero and saint Manteswamy, associated with the Neelagara community. Students will engage with the community and the musical instruments used by Neelagara artists, and the project will connect to their curriculum in languages and social science. The outcome of this project will be a performance and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will include a copy of the publication, still and video documentation of the process and the performance. Project funds will pay for contract fees, performance, travel and living, documentation, hire of equipment, materials, and printing.

Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage sixth and seventh grade students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential School, Alavandi, Koppal district with a project interpreting folk stories of Heggappa through Bayalata art form. Students will explore the ritualistic practice of Heggappana Kunita by the Gorava community connecting it to their curriculum in languages, mathematics, and environmental science. The focus of this project is to widen knowledge about the folklore and cultural practices in Karnataka. The outcome of this project will be a performance in the school premise and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will include a copy of the publication, still and video documentation of the process and the performance. Project funds will pay for contract fees, performance, travel and living, documentation, hire of Equipment, materials, and printing. 

Shantagouda Marigoud Marigoudra

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage sixth grade students of the Government Higher Primary School, Kurtakoti, in Gadag taluk, Gadag district. This 15-month project Videshi Hhakkigala Taana is centred around the Magadi Bird Sanctuary. Home to diverse birds, this project explores the ecological significance of bird migration through visual, theatre and language arts with the aim of helping students to observe and connect with the natural world around them. The outcome of the project will be a publication, exhibition and performance in the school. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA along with the final report will be a copy of the publication, photographs and the video documentation of the entire project. Project funds will pay for contract fees, performance, travelling living and stationery.

Nayaka KV


Project Period: One year and three months

For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage fourth and sixth grade students of Government Higher Primary School in Maraluru, Gouribidanur taluk, Chikkaballapura district with the project titled Nelagamalu (Fragrance of the Ground). Students will engage with the translation of folk songs from Telugu to Kannada connecting it to their curriculum in languages and social science. Students will also be involved in practising the folk dance form jade kolata. The outcome of this project will be a performance and a publication.
