PROJECT 560: Call for Arts Projects (Research/Practice) | Deadline Extended: July 03, 2020 (CLOSED)
We turn to the arts when we are joyful; we turn to the arts when we grieve. And in times of uncertainty and despair, we turn to arts again for sustaining our hopes. The arts enable us to forge solidarities, make sense of the present, and come together to imagine collective futures. This is especially true of now when the Coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt and alter our lives. More here, than ever anywhere else, the arts must remind us of the human capacity to endure, re-imagine and create. We at IFA thus continue to support projects across our programmes. We realise that during these times projects will need fresh modes of thinking, creating and presenting the arts, as well as new imaginations of engagement with audiences and communities. We encourage and welcome such enquiries and explorations, within the mandate of our programmes. We hope that we will emerge more resilient and compassionate from this global crisis.

Turn Bangalore into a stage, a canvas, a notebook or a digital courtyard! Tap into its varied voices, spaces, histories, memories, aspirations, and expressions. Delve into the city's layered pasts, engage with its many presents, or imagine diverse futures. Who is the city? What does it mean to be a Bangalorean? Where do the strengths and challenges of the city lie? If Bangalore is on your mind, then this call is for you.
We invite proposals for Arts Projects (Research/Practice) on Bangalore that critically engage with the city's pasts, presents, and futures. Collaborative projects that bring together artists and scholars are also encouraged. About Project 560
Project 560 is an IFA initiative for Bangalore. Taking its name from the first three digits of Bangalore's pincode, Project 560 proposes to encourage artists, scholars, institutions and neighbourhoods to engage creatively and critically with the city. In doing so, it aims to provide citizens with a kaleidoscopic experience of exploring the city that would enable them to reimagine the city and their relationship with it, in novel ways.
Namma 560. Namma Project. Namma Pincode.
