For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA which will engage first to fifth grade students of the Government Primary School, Banakal in Mudigere taluk, Chikkamagaluru district. This 15-month project, titled Kitakiyaachagina Keeta Vismaya (Wonders of Insects Beyond the Window), is an arts-integrated journey into the amazing and complex world of insects. This project uses art to illustrate the curriculum in science through the process of ‘seeing’ and ‘understanding’. The outcome of the project will be an exhibition and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA along with the final report will be copies of the publication, photographs and the video documentation of the entire project. Project funds will pay for contract fees, exhibition, workshop, travelling, living and publication.
For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA that will engage eighth and ninth grade students of Government High School in Hiregowja, Chikkamagaluru district with the project titled Tejaswi Shaale (Tejaswi School). An experiential learning platform will be created in the school premise focusing on the life and work of the prominent writer and novelist KP Poornachandra Tejaswi. Students will explore his book Parisarada Kathe focusing on three elements – observe, comprehend and believe, connecting it to their curriculum in languages and environmental science. The outcome of this project will be a performance and an exhibition in the school premise. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will include still and video documentation of the process and the performance. Project funds will pay for contract fees, travel and living, documentation, materials, workshop, food, performance, exhibition, and printing.
For the implementation of a Foundation Project by IFA that will engage fifth and sixth grade students of the Government Lower Primary School, in Yelagudige, Chikkamagaluru district in a project titled Beejadinda Battalige (From seed to Coffee Mug). The students will explore the journey of coffee from seed to the beverage across its various stages of production through a set of multidisciplinary activities, connecting their curriculum of science, language and social science. The outcomes of the project will be a series of performances, an exhibition and a publication. The Project Coordinator’s deliverables to IFA with the final report will be the publication and photographs and video documentation of the entire project including the performance and exhibition. Project funds will pay for printing, exhibition and performance, travel, workshop, contract fees and documentation.
